Sunflower Pie

Savory meat pies are my favorites, but this pie exceeded my expectations! The dough is soft, tender. The filling can be varied, but this option is the most universal - meat and cheese.

Description of preparation:

I like this cake with its original shape and excellent taste. In one pie two pies are connected at once - with meat and cheese. My son, who practically does not eat meat, is very fond of a piece of cheese pie and eats only it. This cake is good for a weekend when you want to please your family with something tasty. Try and have fun!

Ingredients:

  • Milk - 250 Milliliters
  • Butter - 50 grams
  • Pressed yeast - 40 grams
  • Egg - 2 Pieces (1 pc. - for dough, 1 pc. - for lubrication)
  • Sugar - 1 Tbsp. a spoon
  • Salt - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Flour - 500-600 grams (how much dough will take)
  • Minced meat - 350 Grams
  • Onion - 1 Piece
  • Hard cheese - 150 grams
  • Garlic - 1 Clove
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. spoons
  • Poppy - 1 Art. spoon (for decoration)

How to cook "Pie" Sunflower ""

Prepare all the necessary ingredients.

In warm milk (approximately 30-35 degrees) dissolve the yeast, add 1 Art. l sugar and leave for 10 minutes for the yeast to take effect.

Then add one egg and 50 of melted butter. Stir.

Start adding flour and stirring a little. Then put the dough on a work surface and knead a soft, rather elastic dough. Flour may need less or more, depending on the quality of flour. Dough should not be too tight. If you see that it already has a good consistency, but still slightly sticks to your hands, brush your hands with vegetable oil and spread the dough.

Cover the dough with a clean towel and place in a warm place for 40-60 minutes.

While the dough fits, let's do the filling. Finely chop the onion and fry in a pan with vegetable oil.

Add the stuffing, stir well to make it crumbly. Salt and pepper. Fry the mince until cooked.

Cheese grate on a large grater.

Meanwhile, the dough came up. It has increased in volume in 3 times.

Divide the dough into 2 unequal parts. Roll out most of the thickness of 5-7 mm. Put this layer of dough on a pan, greased with vegetable oil.

Put minced meat in the middle. On the edge, make a cheese rim of width 3 cm. At the same time, at least the 1 cm should remain to the edge of the dough so that you can pinch them.

Cover the cake with a second layer of dough on top. With the help of a suitable diameter plate make a light groove.

Make cuts along the edge of the cake and unfold the notched part of the dough to form a kind of petal. Grease the cake with an egg. Sprinkle with poppy seeds in the middle - it is an imitation of seeds.

Bake the cake in the oven at a temperature of 180 25-30 degrees minutes until golden brown on top and the dough is ready.
