Sea fish improves sperm quality

Omega-3 fatty acids, which are found in marine fish, improve the quality of male sperm, scientists from the University of Illinois have proved.

Docosahexaenoic acid, belonging to the Omega-3 class, transforms immature sperm cells into quality spermatozoa. Deprived of this acid, sperm cells can not get into the egg, which makes the man infertile.

An experiment conducted on laboratory mice showed that males were unable to conceive when they were deprived of this acid. When the normal diet was restored, the reproductive function returned to normal.

Laser scanning showed that the acrosomes of spermatozoa depend on docosahexaenoic acid, on which penetration into the egg depends.

Male infertility Infertility is a very common problem, and the male factor as well as the female factor can be the cause of the problem.
