  • Lard - 1 Kilogram
  • Salt - 500 Grams
  • Dried garlic - 15 grams
  • Hot red pepper - 10 Grams
  • Paprika - 20 Grams

How to cook Hungarian bacon

Salo is chosen without meat layer. Cut it into pieces and roll it in salt. We leave for a day at room temperature, then put it into the refrigerator for 2 days. After cleaning the salt and cut a few millimeters on each side of the blocks.

Prepare dry ingredients: mix dried garlic, paprika and hot pepper. In this mixture, we roll off pieces of fat.

We take parchment paper, cut into squares. Each piece of fat is wrapped separately in parchment. You can tie a string so that the paper does not open.

All the pieces are put in a large cellophane bag, tightly knotted and put into a freezer for at least a day. Then you can try the fat.
