How to cook "Lazy cabbage rolls in tomato sauce"

Prepare all the necessary ingredients.

Finely chop the cabbage. The amount of cabbage can vary as you wish.

Pour boiling water over the cabbage and leave for 15 minutes. If the cabbage is very hard, it can be boiled for 3-5 minutes, and then left to cool in boiling water.

Boil rice until half cooked. Drain excess fluid.

Grate the carrots on a fine grater, and finely chop the onion with a knife. Divide the onions and carrots into 2 parts.

Fry one half of the onions and carrots in vegetable oil until soft.

Combine minced meat, boiled rice, fried vegetables. Add the cabbage, which is previously thrown into a colander and wring out your hands from excess fluid. Salt to taste, add pepper, paprika and any spices to taste. Shuffle.

From the resulting mass, form small oblong shaped patties. Put the blanks in a baking dish. Send the form to the oven, preheated to 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

In the meantime, prepare the sauce. Fry the remaining onions and carrots in vegetable oil. Add tomato paste and mix.

Add tomato juice and some water. If there is no juice, you can simply add water to dilute the tomato paste and make the sauce liquid. I added 150 ml. tomato juice and about 50 ml. water. My juice is sour, so I added half a tablespoon of sugar and sweet paprika. Let the sauce boil for 3-4 minutes.

Pour in our lazy darlings, who have already managed to slightly bake and thicken, so that even after quenching, they will keep their shape, send again to the oven for another 20-25 minutes. Bake until cooked.

So delicious my lazy cabbage rolls turned out. Bon Appetit!
