The restyling isn't exactly restyling though.

And it, unlike its predecessor, does not slow down. The steering wheel came from the flagships of the brand and on it ... drum roll attention ... also touch panels.

Add to the list of options 12,3-inch Interactive Driver Display, color head-up display, wireless charger for smartphones, salon mirror with picture output from the rear ClearSight camera, and you have an exemplary dandy, not a utilitarian soldier. At first, the automatic transmission selector lever looked alien, by the way a 9-speed one, which replaced the already familiar washer. Comfortable seats are organically intertwined into the image's piggy bank, of which there may be seven by the way. They are really recommended to be used only with kids, there is not a lot of space there.

On the road, disco sports, sports give little. Yes, due to the increased rigidity of the body, the steering has become sharper, but this is not a knife blade. This is a slightly sharpened cleaver. And 250 forces cheerfully cockroach the body of the crossover into the distance, but the reaction to gas is far from sports. In general, the car dictates a relaxed driving style. He can quickly, but he does it reluctantly. In relax mode, the car is barely audible. The suspension conveys the vicissitudes of the road with the informativeness of a pea mattress. And a nice bonus - a consumption of 10 liters per hundred.

The character of the car changes off-road. One push of the button and the right rotary turns into the Terrain Response system mode selector (When ordering the Advanced Tow Assist package, the same washer can be used to correct the trajectory of the trailer when reversing). There is practically no need for this twist. In 99 cases out of a hundred, the automatic mode does all the work for you. What's really surprising is the transparent hood feature. It works with a little backlash in time, but it helps a lot on difficult terrain. The blockages here are a bit fake, but they help out in an amazing way off-road. In general, electronic assistants do all the work here. Sometimes it seems that it is enough for sports to indicate the direction of movement. He will do the rest himself.

In general, restyling made the car prettier, more cheerful and technologically advanced. But this is noticeable only in comparison head-on with the previous generation. Of course, the younger "disco" borrows a lot from the older brothers, but this does not apply to the off-road arsenal. Land Rover Discovery Sport finally got rid of the light flair of the red uniforms of Her Majesty's soldiers. And in Russia, the sales policy no longer resembles an attack by a light brigade. British vagabonds have come to win.
