Kharcho soup with stew

Kharcho is a traditional Georgian cuisine soup. This dish has long been loved by our mistresses and is already considered quite ordinary. Today I’ll tell you how to make soup kharcho with stew.

Of course this is not a real kharcho, but it turns out very tasty. It saves time when you need to nourish the whole family. Take the recipe!

  • Stew - 1 Bank (lamb or beef)
  • Potatoes - 4-5 Pieces
  • Carrots - 1 Piece
  • Onions - 1 Piece
  • Tomato paste - 1,5 tbsp spoons (or tomatoes)
  • Rice - 1/3 Cup
  • Bay leaf - 2-3 pieces
  • Garlic - 3-4 Cloves
  • Hops-suneli - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 Teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 3 Tbsp. spoons
  • Salt - To taste
  • Ground pepper - To taste (red or black)
  • Greens - To taste (cilantro, parsley, dill)

Servings: 6-8

How to cook "Kharcho soup with stew"

Prepare all the ingredients.

Dice potatoes.

Rinse well.

Put water on the stove, bring to a boil, add the stew.

When the water with the stew boils, add the potatoes, rice and bay leaf.

While the potatoes and rice are boiling, make a fry. Heat oil in a pan, put grated carrots and diced onions.

Sauté the vegetables until tender. Add seasoning, tomato paste and sugar.

Fry everything together for a couple more minutes.

Add the frying to the soup, salt to taste and cook all together until the potatoes and rice are ready.

At the very end, add chopped garlic and chopped herbs.

Cooking tip:

Since the original soup is made from lamb, I took beef stew. You can use the one in the house.
